Grace Nadine Bennett, an 88-year-old resident of Camden Point, died on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at the Camden Point Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Camden Point Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the Friday service. Hixson-Klein Funeral Home of Gower is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bennett was born on Aug. 29, 1927 in Trenton, the daughter of Raleigh Leon and Rosa Rea Dryer Shaw. She grew up and attended school in Trenton.
She was married on Jan. 20, 1945 to Calvin Coolidge Bennett, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2014. After their marriage, they lived in Florida, south Missouri and later made their home in Camden Point.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, was an avid reader and enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her children, Forrest Lee Bennett and his wife, Adele, Jerry Dean Bennett and his wife, Sylvia, John Martin Bennett and his wife, Tracy and Carla Jean Milazzo and her husband, Steve; grandchildren, Aaron, Michael, Deana, Thomas, Christopher, Samantha, Cheyenne, Grace, Jennifer and Damien; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Vandevender; a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Nance; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Anderson.
