Mark J. Moore, a 55-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at his home near Princeton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at the New Hope Baptist Church, north of Princeton, with Pastor Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, northwest of Princeton.
Open visitation and viewing is under way at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton, where the family visitation will be from 6 to 7 o’clock tonight (Monday, Oct. 12, 2015).
Mr. Moore was born on Nov. 14, 1959 at Bethany, the son of Donnie J. and Linda Lane Shull Moore. He was raised in Mercer County and was a 1978 graduate of Princeton High School. He farmed with his family all his life and also worked in the construction department of Premium Standard Farms (Smithfield Hog Production of Missouri) for 26 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, tinkering on old tractors, attending and participating in antique tractor pulls, traveling with his wife, Tana, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the Princeton First Baptist Church and commanding leader of the Bucksnort Hunt Club.
He was married on Nov. 11, 2011 to Tana Marie Hirter Berger, who survives him of their home.
He is also survived by his four daughters, Mandi Massey of Princeton, Ashlie Powell and her husband, Nathan of Maryville, Marcie Davis and her husband, Seth of Princeton and Erin Holt and her husband, Kevin of Cainsville; his mother, Linda Moore of Princeton; two brothers, Mike Moore and his wife, Joann and Matt Moore, all of Princeton; three stepdaughters, Jessie Newton and her husband, Chris of Katy, TX, Sarah Tomlinson of Jefferson City and Kirsten Berger of Greeley, CO; five grandchildren, Aspen, Corynn, Corbin, Callao and Finn; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family requests memorial contributions to either the Harrison County Hospice, the New Hope Baptist Church, or the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673.
