Graveside services for Carol Hampton will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Cemetery in Modena.
There is no scheduled family visitation. Open visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
Mrs. Hampton, a 75-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Hampton was born on July 31, 1940 in Gallatin, the daughter of Glen and Ollie Horn Clark. She worked as a nurse’s aide for Princeton Care Center for 17 years. She was married on Dec. 12, 1970 to Jim Hampton, who preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses, sewing, crocheting, walking her dogs and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Stephens and her husband, Chris of Princeton; two grandchildren, Payge Stephens and Dalton Stephens of Princeton; two great-grandchildren, Kylah McCully and Tymberlynn White of Trenton; one sister, Eula Blakesley of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Donald Lee Petty and David Earl Petty; a granddaughter, Brandy White; five brothers, Herman, Harley, Howard and Harold Edwards and Rex Clark; and one sister, Allie Lambrecht.
