Sep 30, 2015 | Headline News

The Princeton R-5 Board of Education met on Monday night for a work session and special meeting.
The CTS group and the Architectural Firm HTK from Overland Park, KS met with the board to develop a plan of action to deal with facility concerns within the district. The CTS group will return to Princeton on Oct. 12 during the regular monthly board meeting to present options for consideration.
The board was presented bids for geotechnical surveys of the district campus, to help determine possible building sites and excavation possibilities. The bid from PSI of $8,238 was the lowest of four received. PSI will begin work on the survey once all proper paperwork is completed.
Following an executive session, the board voted to hire Dennis Gutshall of Trenton to provide services as a consultant to the board during the development of educational specifications. Gutshall will work with the board, superintendent, CTS Contractors, HTK Architects, school staff and community members to assist in the development of a final building proposal.
