DAWGS Do Well At State

Submitted Photo Over 900 athletes from across the state converged on Jefferson City for the Special Olympics State Outdoor Games Sept. 25-27. The Trenton DAWGS (Disabled Athletes with Grundy Support) competed in bocce ball on Friday, Sept. 25 and then softball and flag football on Saturday and Sunday. The DAWGS remain undefeated in softball for the fourth consecutive year, winning gold medals on Sunday. This was the first year for them to be able to compete in flag football at state and they came away with silver medals.
