TMS Softball Team Drops Two

The Trenton Middle School softball team was in action on the road in Marceline on Monday night, losing both the A and B games. Trenton fell 3-1 in the a game and 4-1 in the B game.
In the A game, the Lady Bulldogs were paced by McKayla Blackburn, who was one-for-three with the team’s lone run scored. Blackburn was also the losing pitcher, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six. Lexi Whitaker and Maci Moore were each one-for-three in the loss.
B game action saw Kennedy Norton go one-for-one with the team’s only run scored. Ashley Johnson and Jaycie Griffin were each one-for-two in the loss. Kennedy Norton was the losing pitcher, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out one.
Trenton’s middle school teams will return to the diamond tonight, traveling to Princeton to face the Lady Tigers. The first pitch for the A game is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the B game will follow.
