Brett Hawkins, a 34-year-old resident of Bethany, died on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at the Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 at Immanuel Baptist Church at Bethany. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery at Bethany.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home at Bethany, where friends may call after noon on Thursday.
Mr. Hawkins was born on June 8, 1981 in Chillicothe, the son of Jerry and Betty Gadberry Jones.
He was a deputy sheriff for the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the DARE officer for Harrison County.
He is survived by his wife, Brooklyn Hawkins, daughter, Arlie Hawkins and sons, Keegan Goble Hawkins, Karsen Allen Hawkins and Kenten Allen Hawkins, all of the home; mother, Betty Jones of Bethany; a sister, Brandi Willis of New Hampton; a brother, H.B. Gebhards of Mt. Ayr, IA; his aunt, Susan Howard, of Bethany; his grandmother-in-law, Margaret Shipers of Pattonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Jones.
