What has become a yearly tradition is scheduled again in 2015 as local emergency personnel will be honored during a meal planned on Friday, Sept. 11.
Volunteers are putting together the luncheon, which is planned from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trenton Fire Department. Local and county firefighters, EMTs and law enforcement personnel are invited to eat the free meal, which will include hot dogs, potato chips, drinks and cookies.
Tom Eads and Mark Robinson are coordinating the meal and are asking members of the community to provide cookies for the honorees.
Monetary donations are also being accepted, with all funds collected being turned over to the Eric Lorenz family. Lorenz, a lieutenant with the the Trenton Fire Department, was killed earlier this month in a skydiving accident.
Persons wanting to make a donation or wanting more information are asked to call Eads at 635-0483 or Robinson at 358-2407.
