Loyal Walter “Dub” Holler Jr., a 63-year-old resident of Meade, KS, died on Sunday morning, Aug. 23, 2015, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Meade. Burial will follow at the Emmanuel Church Cemetery in rural Meade.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
Mr. Holler was born on May 15, 1952, at Ashland, KS, the son of Loyal Walter and Mildred Puyear Holler. He attended the Ashland school system, graduating from Ashland High School. He later attended the Liberal Area Vo-Tech, receiving his training in auto body repair. A resident of Meade since 1991, he was an auto body technician.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Mennonite Church and the Sons of Thunder. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, helping others, spending time with family and friends and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He married Cathy Herman and later divorced. He later married Carol Sinclair and was later divorced. He was married at Dodge City, KS on Dec. 31, 1994 to Debbie Heronemus, who survives of the home.
He is also survived by his children, Kami Day of Lakin, KS, Jason “Bubba” Holler and his wife, Misty, of Kismet, KS and Brett Holler, Kasey Holler and Carissa Schellhamer, all of Meade; a sister, LeJean Hanes of Trenton; and two grandchildren, Sierra and Kaden.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a brother-in-law, Gary Hanes in 2008.
The family suggests memorials to the Love Meade Fund or the Emmanuel Mennonite Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
