Frances Foster Ormrod, a 94-year-old resident of Olympia WA, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at the Haseville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Haseville Cemetery at Humphreys.
Mrs. Ormrod was born on Sept. 24, 1920 in Laredo, the daughter of Arthur and Bessie Doty Foster. She married George H. Ormrod in June 1948 in Iowa.
Her teaching career started in a one-room school in Missouri. After graduating from Kirksville Teachers College, she taught in Des Moines, IA and later retired from teaching elementary school for the North Thurston School District in Lacey, WA.
Survivors include one daughter, Nola Ormrod and son-in-law Steven Cox of Lacey, WA; and one son, George Ormrod of Rochester, WA; twin grandsons, Nicholas and Aaron Ormrod of Sacramento CA; one sister, Maxine Samuels of Columbia; one sister-in-law, Jean Foster of Humphreys and Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Elizabeth Brobst; and one brother, Allen Foster.
