Emergency vehicles will be descending on Trenton High School Monday morning for a mock emergency training event.
According to Grundy County Emergency Management Director Glen Briggs, emergency crews, school personnel and others will practice skills for dealing with what has become an all too common event, a mass shooting. Participants will take what they learn from the exercise to help review and improve plans to deal with such an emergency. During the exercise the high school and middle school buildings will be closed to the general public. Anyone needing more information may contact Briggs at 635-0706 or Trenton R-9 Superintendent Dan Wiebers at the district office, 359-3994.
