The Tri-County R-7 Board of Education met on Thursday night, taking action on several items.
According to information provided by Superintendent David Probasco, the board offered a part-time paraprofessional position and a bus driving position to Cathy Rice. The list of substitutes for the 2015-16 school year was also approved.
Approval was given to the 2015-16 bus routes as well as the local compliance plan for special education. The insurance and cafeteria plans for school personnel were also approved by the board. A bid for laptop computers from CDI was accepted.
The board discussed the 2016 graduation date as well as fundraising requests for the school year, but took no action. Budget items were discussed and the first reading of policy updates was held, with no action taken on either.
A hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 to set the tax levy for the 2015-16 year. The hearing will be in the superintendent’s office.
The next regular meeting of the board will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 in the superintendent’s office.
