Craig Witten Miller, 59, died on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015.
Memorial services will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone. Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, northwest of Trenton.
Mr. Miller was born on Nov. 14, 1955 in North Kansas City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max D. Miller. He grew up in Kentucky and graduated from Owen County High School in 1973 in Owenton, KY. He later moved to Kansas City., where he continued to live until his passing.
He was a fun loving and supportive father, with a love of the Royals, live music and independent films. He was a 29-year teamster, Local 41 member, retiring from ABF Freight in 2013 after 35 years as a hardworking, dedicated truck driver.
He is survived by his children, Amy Miller, Cody Miller and Eryn Wartenbee of Kansas City; his mother, Carmen Prewitt, of Trenton; brothers, Bill Miller of Columbia, MS and David Miller of Trenton; a sister, Shelley Crolley of Union, KY; a granddaughter, CoraLynn Miller of Kansas City; and his former wife, Susan Miller of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Miller; brother, Monte Miller; grandparents, Willard and Eula Witten and William and Dot Miller.
