Naomi Lee “Nomy” Davis of Johnson City, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
Nomy was a native of Trenton, but loved the Tennessee mountains where she lived most recently with her grandson, Brian Brewer and wife, Annie. Nomy worked as a nurse in hospitals, nursing homes and home health. Nomy was gifted in crafts and loved square dancing, quilting, gardening, bird watching and working with stained glass.
Nomy is survived by her son, Daryl Visser and daughter-in-law, Ester of Elizabethton, TN; her son, Greg Visser and daughter-in-law Karen of Butler, TN; her daughter, Vicki Gemmell and son-in-law, John of Campobello, SC; and her sons, Brian Brewer and Tom Davis of Johnson City, TN. She also left behind numerous loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins Jim Berlin and Jerry Berlin; and many special friends, all of which she prayed to see again at the great homecoming.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life service at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Jonesboro, TN with visitation at 1 p.m. and a service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.1, 2015.
The family requests that donations be made in memory of Nomy to the Cherry Grove Baptist Church, 104 Cherry Grove Road, Jonesboro, TN 37659.
