Janice “Marlene” Drennen, a 77-year-old resident of Cameron, died at 4:08 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will be in the Prairie Ridge Cemetery at Modena. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Drennen was born on April 16, 1938 in Spickard, the daughter of Wendell and Margaret Burk Brummett. She went to school in and around Spickard High School.
She was married on Oct. 11, 1956 to Richard Drennen, who survives of the home.
She is also survived by two daughters, Glenda Madison of Gladstone and Patricia (Joe) Hemberger of Overland Park, KS; three granddaughters, Heather Nicole Drennen of Springfield, Christy Brantner of Overland Park and Tiffany Harris of Overland Park; two step-grandsons, Jack Hemberger and Alex Hemberger of Overland Park; three great-grandsons, Malaky, Zachery and Gabriel Horvat; two sisters, Patsy (Ronald) Kincade and Jeanette (Bruce) Lenhardt; a brother, David (Bobbie) Brummett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Three Rivers Hospice at Cameron.
