Carol Hale, a 77-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Mosaic Care Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Jamesport.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. General visitation is under way at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport.
Mrs. Hale was born on Sept. 18, 1937 in Jamesport, the daughter of Gordon and Cecilia Tout Shuler. She attended Clear Creek country school and graduated from Jamesport High School in 1954. She was married on July 2, 1955 in Jamesport to Carl Hale. The couple made their home in Princeton and she worked at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton in medical records. The family moved to Jamesport in 1961. Mrs. Hale was employed at Farmers Produce and Reed Seeds as the bookkeeper, retiring in 2003. Carol enjoyed serving the public.
Mrs. Hale was an active member of the Jamesport Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, helped with Bible School and was a room mother for years.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Jeff Hale and his wife, Jennifer of Jamesport and Gordon Hale and his companion, Maggie Harris of Gilman City; two sisters, Dorothy Dunfee of Sedalia and Judy Vyrostek and her husband, Del Ray of Gallatin; a brother, Max Shuler and his wife, Karen of Trenton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; three brothers, Ross, Ralph and Bob Shuler; and two sisters, Katherine Painter and Helen Huckleberry.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Hale Memorial Fund in care of McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport.
