James L. Cox of Trenton and Theresa M. Ford of Gallatin were married before family and friends on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Trenton First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Pastor Mike Moore officiated at the afternoon double-ring ceremony.
The groom’s cousin, Delores Mann of Independence, greeted attendees at the guest book. Guests were ushered into the sanctuary by the bride’s brother, Benton Dick of Kansas City, and the couple’s friend, George Moore. Kay Moore played the organ music.
The bride’s grandchildren participated in the procession. Gabby Johnson and Trevor Ford lit the altar candles. Addison Ford was the flower girl. Brothers Luke and Logan Johnson were the ringbearers.
Matrons of honor were the daughters of the bride and groom respectively, Priscilla Johnson of Altamont and Michelle Johnston of Cameron. Seth Cox, son of the groom, and Koleby McClintick, grandson of the groom, served as groomsmen.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her son, Travis W. Ford of Smithville.
A dinner reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. Table decorations were placed by Donna Bray of Smithville, niece of the bride. The buffet dinner was prepared and presented by Ali Gray and the Lakeview Restaurant.
The couple is now at home on Lake Manor Drive in Trenton.
