Samuel G. Adams, 28, Trenton, withdrew his plea of guilty and pleaded guilty to second degree assault and had sentencing set for Aug. 28. A charge of driving while suspended was dismissed.
Shannon M. Brake, 38, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and was sentenced to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections, with the court retaining jurisdiction for 120 days. He is to be placed in an ITC program.
Machelle Dowell, 38, Galt, had a charge of conspiracy to commit burglary dismissed.
Mitchell D. Knapp, 25, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on three original charges of tampering with a motor vehicle. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve four years in the Department of Corrections on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently. A charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana was dismissed.
Bently V. Ralston, 38, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to two charges of stealing, with his case set for Aug. 28.
Jarred W. Kelsall, 20, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of second degree burglary. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to serve three years in the Department of Corrections.
Bret M. Thomas, 51, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery. He was sentenced to serve four years in the Department of Corrections on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.
Devin A. Pierce, 23, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to second degree domestic assault. Imposition of his sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five years.
Gregory D. Baecht, 36, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana. He was sentenced to serve five years in the Department of Corrections, with execution of the sentence stayed. He was placed on probation for five years, with the special condition that he serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center and obtain a drug and alcohol assessment and follow recommendations.
Bryce A. Todd, 24, Smithville, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of tampering with a motor vehicle and was ordered to serve four years in the Department of Corrections, with the sentence to run concurrently with one in Clay County.
Happy E. Sharp, 40, Grandview, admitted violating the terms of his probation on original charges of second degree domestic assault and operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid license (third and subsequent offense). His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve four years in the Department of Corrections on each charge.
Civil Court
Patrick Shaun Michael vs. Dean Durbin. The plaintiff has filed a petition for damages involving personal injury.
Moberly Hospital Inc. vs. Jeremy J. Hudson. The court sustained a motion to revive a judgment in a suit on account.
Ameristream Cleaning and Restoration vs. Teresa Thane Tracy. The case, which involved a suit on account, was dismissed.

Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $55.50 were Grant Allen, Des Moines, IA; Alex Foster, Bethany; and David Pomeroy, Maxwell, IA.
Pleading guilty to not wearing a seat belt and fined $10 were Terry Ashford, Chillicothe; and Bryce Shipley, Mercer.
Zachery Ryan, Ankeny, IA, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $155.50.
