NCMC Offering Degrees Online

Jun 9, 2015 | Headline News

Starting fall 2015, North Central Missouri College will offer students two new online degree programs – an associate of applied science degree in criminal justice and an associate of applied science degree in early childhood development.
Both programs will be offered completely online allowing students to receive a high-quality education with the same experienced faculty but with the flexibility that comes from taking online courses.
“I am excited that NCMC is expanding online options,” said Dean of Instruction Dr. Sharon Weiser. “This is especially advantageous for working students and those with young children because it allows them to access their courses at any time, from most anywhere, giving an opportunity to complete a degree.”
The AAS in criminal justice program will allow students to gain experience concerning matters of crime and justice at the local, state and national levels. Students will receive a background in psychology, justice and the legal system preparing for a career as a correctional officer, firefighter, police officer, detective or security/surveillance officer as a few examples.
The AAS in early childhood development will help students gain an understanding of early childhood matters related to education, development, management and comprehension for pre-kindergarten children. With this degree, students could pursue a career working in a daycare, preschool or individual care as well as other opportunities.
Students can begin enrollment into these programs starting fall 2015. For further information, persons can visit the college wesbite, www.ncmissouri.edu.
