Billy Joe Tinsley, a 79-year-old resident of Spickard, died on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield.
A family visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Tinsley was born on May 12, 1936 in Brookfield, the son of Herman and Laura Blackwell Tinsley. He was married on July 27, 1960 to Laura Aldrich.
He worked for Trenton Municipal Utilities. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion, both of Trenton.
Survivors include his wife, Laura of the home; one son, Bill Tinsley of Spickard; five grandchildren, Bill Thomas Tinsley and wife, Kaci of Trenton and Michel Tinsley, Chris Tinsley, Joey Tinsley and Amber Tinsley, all of McKenzie, TN; and one sister, Katherine Mosley of Brookfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michel Tinsley; one brother, Herman Lee Tinsley and one sister, Jean Shoemaker.
