May 28, 2015 | Headline News

A fireworks display is being planned as part of the activities scheduled for the Fourth of July weekend and donations from the public, organizations and businesses are needed to help pay for the event.
Approximately $4,000 needs to be raised in order to have the display. A committee to help with the donation collection has been formed. Donations for the fireworks are currently being accepted at the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce office at 617 Main St. They can be left there or mailed to that address. Checks should be made out to “Chamber of Commerce Fireworks.”
Collection cannisters are also being placed at the Casey’s General Store locations on Ninth and 28th streets as well as the TNT Convenience Store on 28th Street and Trenton Main Stop. Cannisters will also be placed at Trenton City Hall and other sites to be announced.
The fireworks display is scheduled for Friday evening, July 3. A fly-in and breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, July 4 at the airport.
