William Charles “Bill” Cousins, a 63-year-old resident of Mercer County, died on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
The body was cremated under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Jack Stark officiating. Disposition of his ashes will be at a later date by his family.
Mr. Cousins was born on Jan. 30, 1952 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Charles and Rhoda Patricia Joy Peck Cousins. He was raised and lived the early part of his adult life in the Des Moines, IA area, where he graduated from high school, was employed at various jobs and was a member of a motorcycle club. He moved from Des Moines to Mercer in 2003 to help his mother care for his step-father, Don Heller. After his step-father’s death, Mr. Cousins stayed in Mercer County, where he worked as a security guard for Premium Standard Farms.
He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and fishing.
He was married on Oct. 6, 2010 to Colleen Donna Lenius, who survives him of their home in Princeton.
He is also survived by his sister, Karen Cousins McCrea and her husband, Roy of Cummings, IA; two brothers, Burton Clark and his wife, Martha of Mercer and Richard Clark of Chillicothe; four step-children; seven step-grandchildren; six nieces; one nephew; five grand-nieces; five grand-nephews; and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Clark; his step-father Donald Heller; and by an infant sister and brother.
