Princeton Chamber Makes Plans

The Princeton Chamber of Commercer met May 13 at Bristol Manor, with seven members present.
The meeting was called to order by Kelly Bertrand and the minutes and treasurer’s reports were approved. It was reported that there are 10 food concessions and two non-food concessions signed up for The Big Bam Bicycle Ride coming through Princeton on June 24. There are currently over 1,000 riders scheduled to take part. Support services will be provided by Big Bam, the Mercer County Sheriff, fire district, ambulance and the emergency management team. Ten portable restrooms have been ordered and extra trash disposal services will be available. A band will be on the bandstand from 1 to 3 p.m courtesy of Big Bam.
It was reported that the National Day of Prayer was a success, with over 60 people meeting at the flag pole and lunch provided by the Princeton Rotary Club. It was also reported that Cory Teeter was awarded the bid for work at the Cow Palace. A ribbon-cutting has been scheduled for Bristol Manor for noon, May 29 and the Princeton Cleanup Day is scheduled for May 30, with the city providing a dumpster at the city barn for Princeton city residents. It was also noted that help is still needed for Calamity Jane Days and those wishing to help may contact Ms. Bertrand.
