ECIP Funding Available

May 19, 2015 | Headline News

Electric customers residing within the nine-county core service area of Green Hills Community Action Agency may be able to see a slight reprieve from higher utility bills as things warm up across Missouri in the coming months.
The agency’s Summer Energy Crisis Intervention Program is slated to begin on Monday, June 1. Funding is limited and can only be used by clients in the event of an electric shut off emergency.
Persons who were approved for winter energy assistance between Oct. 1, 2014 and March 31 of this year are pre-eligible for these summer funds. Persons who did not apply and/or receive help with utilities or have moved since the recent winter EA season will need to file a new, completed application with supporting documentation before help can be made available. Persons who do not remember if the agency assisted them with a bill can call the agency toll free at 855-290-8544.
Summer ECIP applications will not be accepted until June 1st. Applications will also be made available to the public at that time via mail, e-mail, fax or online at ghcaa.org. Clients do not need to schedule appointments or visit the Trenton office to get help with utilities.
