Trenton FFA Honors Members At Banquet

Awards were presented and new officers installed by the Trenton FFA chapter during its annual meeting on Friday night.
Receiving the Star Greenhand award were Emily Kasinger and Hannah Persell, Michaela Jaycox was named the Star Chapter Farmer. The Star Chapter in Placement winner was John Kelsall and Alli Shipley-Fair received the Star Chapter Agribusiness Award. In addition to their plaques, they also received monetary cash awards from Kendall Foster Crop Insurance.
Community Service Awards went to Vanessa Olivo and Meghan Adams. Honorary degrees were presented to Babe Roy and Farmland Foods. Supporter recognition was given to Margaret Mollenhour, Kelli Shull and several individuals who assisted the Ag Sales Team with their practices prior to state competition.
Mason Owen received the Kiwanis Loan while the Frank Hoffman Memorial SAE Loan went to Tyler Kidd. The Colby and Heather Epperson Family Loan was awarded to Mariah Fox and the George Family Loan was given to Huston Sprinkle.
Washington Leadership Conference Scholarships were presented to Sadie Roy, FFA Alumni; Elizabeth Leeper, 4-D Tax Service; and Derek Stimpson, the Black Family. Alex Davis received the Ford Trucks Built Ford Tough Scholarship, presented by Barnes Baker Automotive. The Trenton Alumni Scholarship went to Adam Kirby, Michaela Jaycox and Jenna Meservey. The Steinhoff Family Scholarship was presented to Bailey Owen while the Charly DeVorss Memorial Scholarship went to Becca Tate.
The Gary Brinser Outstanding Senior Award was presented to Adam Kirby and Sadie Roy received the Black Family Outstanding Junior Award. Meservey Public Speaking Academy Scholarships were received by Emily Kasinger, Mariah Fox, Karli Crawford and Hannah Persell. The Blue and Gold Award went to Logan Demsich while Becca Tate received the Black and Gold Award.
Chapter Leadership Medals were presented to freshmen Shelby Laird and Jayden Roeder, sophomores Cade Darting and Jaylen Neff, juniors Sadie Roy and Colton Neff and seniors Molly Norman and Alex Davis. Receiving Chapter Scholarship Medals were Metaija Johnson, Dakota Cutsinger, Alyssa Kosse and Tyler Kidd, freshmen; Karli Crawford, Mickenzey Willey, Sarah Walker and Ralee Wilson, sophomores; Colton Neff, Sadie Roy, Elizabeth Leeper and Karley McCollum, juniors; and Logan Trickel, Trent Crawford, Adam Kirby and Jenna Meservey, seniors.

Installed as the 2015-16 officers were Sadie Roy, president; Mariah Fox and Katerina Black, vice presidents; Karli Crawford, secretary; Tenna Roberts, treasurer; Jaylen Neff, Emily Lynch and Sarah Walker, reporters; Landon Ellis, sentinel; and Jacob Davis, chaplain.
The junior officers for next year include Hannah Persell, secretary; Emily Kasinger, treasurer; Jayden Roeder, reporter; and Mason Owen, sentinel.
