The ceremony was conducted by Drs. Paul and Andy Cox and Kevin and Kasey Bailey. All are members of Troop 97.
Gass, a senior at Trenton High School, earned 29 merit badges while a member of Troop 97. He is also a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, the honor camping society of Camp Geiger. He was tapped into the tribe in June 2010 with the name “Little Stands With Song.” He currently holds the rank of Tom Tom Beater and has earned yellow, red and blue dance coups.
Gass’ Eagle project was dedicated to archiving the Trenton High School yearbooks. He secured available copies of yearbooks from 1905 to 1950, scanned each yearbook and saved it in a searchable file format. With the help of Mrs. Taya Ray, THS technology integration coach, he created a web page of the archived yearbooks which can be viewed at www.trentonr9.k12.mo.us/yearbookarchives.html.
Gass also received proclamations from Rep. Mike Lair and Sen. Dan Hageman in recognition of his accomplishment.
