Beginning today, the Trenton Fire Department has additional smoke detectors available for installation at no charge to residents in the city limits.
TFD Officer Robert Romesburg said the American Red Cross has provided 50 detectors for the fire department for distribution and installment. Any homeowner wanting a detector can call the fire department at 359-5552 to set up an installation time. Romesburg noted that persons who reside in a rental house and want a detector installed should contact their landlord.
