The Trenton High School boys tennis team ran up against a strong Chillicothe team on Tuesday, falling to the Hornets 9-0 in varsity action.
In singles action, Jacob Davis and Jacob Hall both lost 8-4. Kade Ockenfels fell 8-2 while Isaiah Lickteig was on the losing end of an 8-1 decision. Alex Davis and Bryce Whitney both lost 8-0. Doubles results included Davis/Davis losing 8-0, Whitney-Lickteig falling 8-1 and Hall-Ockenfels coming up short 8-2.
In JV action, Trenton got singles wins from CJ Sibbit 6-4, and from Dillon Parrack, who played twice and won 6-4 and 6-2.
The varsity is now 2-5 on the season and will be at home next Monday for a 4 p.m. match with Kirksville.
