Police Check Non-Injury Mishaps

Two non-injury accidents were investigated recently by the Trenton Police Depart-ment, including one at the intersection of Seventh and DeBolt streets that resulted in a ticket being issued.
According to Det. Jerry Smith’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Robert Day of Trenton was westbound on Seventh Street, while a car driven by Jacob T. Parker of Trenton was eastbound on Seventh Street. Day attempted to make a left turn and pulled in front of Parker’s car, causing a collision. There was minor damage to both vehicles. Day, 64, was ticketed for careless and imprudent driving by failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Lt. Rex Ross investigated an accident on Main Street near 11th Street. The mishap occurred when Vincent Meinecke of Trenton has pulled over to the east side of Main Street at the drop box in front of Trenton City Hall. A car driven by Svenkka C. Osburn of Trenton had pulled to the west side of Main Street. Both vehicles pulled away from the curbs at the same time and the left front of Ms. Osburn’s car struck the right front of Meinecke’s truck. There was minor damage to both vehicles, with no tickets issued.
