The Trenton Bulldogs found the going tough at home on Monday night as they fell in varsity tennis action to St. Joseph LeBlond 8-1.
Bryce Whitney was the only THS netter to pick up a win, taking an 8-4 decision at number three singles. Alex Davis lost at number one 8-2 while Jacob Davis fell 8-3 at number two. Isaiah Lickteig lost 8-2 at number four, Jacob Hall fell 8-4 at number five and Kade Ockenfels was blanked 8-0 at number six.
In doubles action, the Davis brothers fell at number one doubles 8-4. Whitney-Lickteig lost 8-3 at number two and Hall-Ockenfels dropped an 8-4 decision at number three.
The Bulldogs are now 2-8 on the year.
Trenton was also blanked in the junior varsity matches.
Logan Demsich played the only singles match, dropping a 6-2 decision. In doubles action, Wyatt Neal-CJ Sibbit lost 6-2, Zack Maberry-Tyler Kidd lost 6-1 and Dillon Parrack-Dylan May fell 6-2.
The THS tennis squad is back in action today, traveling to Chillicothe for a 4 p.m. match.
