On the girls’ side, Trenton collected 209 points to win the meet with Hamilton finishing runner-up with 122 points and South Harrison rounding out the top three with 105.
The boys meet saw South Harrison hold off Trenton with 180 points. The Bulldogs were second with 164 points and Hamilton rounded out the top three with 99.
Lady Bulldogs
The Trenton girls won eight events at the meet with five gold medals coming in the field and three on the track. Ainsley Tolson won the triple jump with a mark of 29-9 and Maycie Mayfield won the long jump with a mark of 13-7. Taylor Richman was first in the high jump clearing 4-6 and Salem Croy won the shot put with a throw of 30-6 and the discus with a throw of 66-5.
On the track, Shawna Coplen won the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.85 and McKayla Blackburn won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11. The 4×400-meter relay team of Blackburn, Emily Kosse, Karli Provorse and Lexi Whitaker won with a time of 4:48.
Trenton’s 4×200-meter relay team of Blackburn, Kennedy Norton, Mykah Hurley and Coplen was second and the 4×100-meter relay team of Tolson, Kosse, Norton and Whitaker finished third.
Other top-three finishers for Trenton included Richman, second in the 100-meter hurdles; Sidney Lynch, second in the 400-meter dash and long jump; Allena Allen, second in the 800-meter run; Tolson, second in the 100-meter dash; Hurley, second in the long jump and third in the 200-meter dash; Mayfield, second in the triple jump and pole vault; Grace Eaton, second in the 1,600-meter run; Elle Neal, third in the 1,600-meter run; Saedee Jackson, third in the 800-meter run; Teresa Burkholder, third in the 400-meter dash; Coplen, third in the 100-meter dash; Whitaker, third in the high jump; and Sara Spencer, third in the shot put.

The Trenton boys won five events with Jadan Whitney collecting two of the Bulldogs’ gold medals. Whitney won the shot put with a throw of 45-7 and the discus with a throw of 125-6. Carson Radcliff won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.69 and Zane Rottman won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:27.5. Trenton’s fifth gold medal came in the meet’s final event where the 4×400-meter relay team of Matthew Sibbit, Whitney, Isaac Harris and Rottman won with a time of 4:17.23.
Other top three medal winners for Trenton were Radcliff, second in the high jump; Harris, second in the pole vault; Sibbit, second in the triple jump and second in the 100-meter hurdles; Jose Velazquez, third in the triple jump and third in the 200-meter dash; Hunter Trask, second in the shot put; Whitney, second in the 100-meter dash; Nick Shields, third in the 400-meter dash; the 4×100-meter relay team of Velazquez, Mark Trump, Radcliff and Sibbit, second; and the 4×200-meter relay team of Quentin Hughs, Shields, Jeremy Elliott and Harris, second.
Trenton’s track and field teams will return to action on Thursday, traveling to Unionville for the Putnam County Relays. The event begins at 2:30 p.m.
