Funeral services for Gene F. Alexander are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Jamesport United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Jamesport Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander, a 72-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Alexander was born on Dec. 1, 1942 in Trenton, the daughter of Dee Elwood and Aldine Genevieve Wild Black. She was married on June 21, 1980 to John Thomas Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was always looking to help others and her highlight of every day was calling and talking to her friends and family.
Surviving relatives include her son, Tony Black of Neosho; a niece, Debbie Dinsmore of Princeton; a nephew, David Black of Trenton; and a sister-in-law, Betty Black of Trenton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Freddie DeWitt and Elwood DeWayne Black.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jamesport United Methodist Church and may be left with or mailed to Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
