Wayne Bishop, a 73-year-old resident of Lawton, OK, died on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Gaches, pastor of the First Baptist Church West at Lawton, officiating.
Mr. Bishop was born on May 11, 1941 in Lawton, the son of Walter W. and Lavern J. Wright Bishop. He had lived with his daughter and son-in-law since 2005. He was an auto mechanic for many years and worked at West Brothers Auto Sales for 20 years.
Mr. Bishop enjoyed cars and trucks and working on them. He loved Laredo, but always came back home to Lawton.
He is survived by his children, Jackie Bishop and his wife, Alice of Mansfield, TX, David Bishop of Meeker, OK and Tina Smoley and her husband, Charlie of Lawton; siblings, JoAnn Mantlo and her husband, Bill of Laredo, Dale Bishop and his wife, Debbie of Choctaw, OK, Dennis Bishop and his wife, Linda and June Rogers and her husband, Jerry, all of Ft. Worth, TX; five grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dean Bishop.
