The Trenton Police Department investigated an accident recently in Eastside Park near C.F. Russell Stadium.
According to Detective Jerry Smith’s report from March 11, a vehicle driven by Kylie Palmer was westbound on the park road approaching a eastbound vehicle driven by Marilee Trump. The report stated both vehicles were in the center of the road and swerved to avoid each other. Ms. Palmer stated she was also blinded by the glare of the sun and applied her brakes and skidded 78 feet before striking a chainlink fence surrounding the football stadium. There was moderate damage to her vehicle and to the fence. Mrs. Trump was able to stop her vehicle on the right side of the road.
Ms. Palmer suffered a small laceration to her forehead and was to seek medical attention on her own. A passenger is her vehicle suffered a small scratch to her left hand.
Ms. Palmer, 17, was ticketed for careless and imprudent driving by striking a fixed object.
