The Princeton R-5 Board of Education met on Wednesday and selected an energy performance project management company to partner with in moving forward on a facility master plan and projects the district hopes to do if voters approve funding issues on April 7 and in April 2016.
According to information provided by the board, two companies were interviewed, Control Technology Solutions, which has an office in St. Louis, and Ameresco from Overland Park, KS, with the board unanimously selecting CTS. The board said the company’s track record in northeast Missouri and across the state in the success of building projects was one of the determining factors. They have provided services and construction in the Putnam County, Monroe City, Canton and Palmyra school districts as well as several others.
CTS will provide services free of charge and a final contract will only be entered with the Princeton School District and Board of Education dependent on passage of the funding issues.
Voters on April 7 will decided whether or not to approve a Prop C Waiver, which would generate funding for planned building and grounds improvements. A bond issue vote is also planned in April 2016.
