The Trenton R-9 School District will hold screenings for children who will be eligible to attend preschool and kindergarten classes next year.
Preschool screenings are set for March 16-18 for children ages 3 and 4 as well as those who will be 3 by Aug. 1. Kindergarten screenings will take place on March 19 and 20 for children who will be 5 before Aug. 1. Both screenings will include the areas of language, speech, concepts, motor development, vision and hearing. All screenings will be done at the Rissler Elementary School, beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
Parents are asked to call the school at 359-2003 to schedule a screening appointment. Fall enrollment will also be done at that time and parents are reminded to bring their child’s Social Security card, immunization record, legal birth certificate and proof of residency for use in that process.
