Brinda K. Blackburn

Brinda K. Blackburn, a 63-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Rural Dale Cemetery, east of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at the mortuary. Open visitation will begin after noon on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015.
Mrs. Blackburn was born on July 17, 1951 in Gent, KY, the daughter of Ben and Myrtle Violet Kilgore Mefford. She was married to Jack Blackburn on July 20, 1970 in Liberty. She attended Trenton Junior College and worked at Green Hills Community Action Agency before retiring.
Survivors include her husband, Jack D. Blackburn of Jamesport; sons, Jack Douglas Blackburn of Milan, Jay D. Blackburn of Galt and David Pete Blackburn of Jamesport; daughters, Renee Keophaphone of Raytown, Tamara Derry of Shenandoah, IA and Jackie Dawn Blackburn of Jamesport; sisters, Bonnie Roberts of Atchison, KS and Rose Mefford-Braley of Weston; brothers, Ben Mefford Jr. of Weston, Mark Mefford of Kansas City, and Jay Mefford of Weston; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lucille Mason.
