Two persons were treated for minor injuries when a vehicle pulled into the path of another at the intersection of Highway 65 and 28th Street on Tuesday.
According to Trenton Police Officer April Locke’s report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Timothy L. Hughs of Trenton was eastbound on 28th Street. Hughs stopped at the stop sign and thought he had time to proceed through the intersection before a truck approaching from the south, driven by Guy D. Roberts of Spickard, reached the intersection. Hughs pulled into the intersection and the passenger side of his vehicle was struck by the Roberts vehicle. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Hughs and his passenger, Michael Odor of Kansas City, were treated for minor injuries at the scene. Hughs, 24, was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
