Two individuals were injured in accidents over the weekend in Grundy County.
The first accident occurred at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday when a car driven by Kelby Orndorff, 17, was southbound on Route W, four miles southwest of Trenton. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the car went off the west side of the road and, as the driver overcorrected, skidded and went off the west side of the road a second time and struck a tree.
Miss Orndorff was taken by Grundy County Ambulance to the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage.
The second accident occurred around 4:55 p.m. when a car driven by Kelsey Ward, 20, was eastbound on Highway 146, one-half mile west of Brimson. The car crossed the center line and traveled off the north side of the road, striking an embankment and overturning, coming to rest on its top.
Miss Ward received moderate injuries and was taken by the Grundy County Ambulance Service to Wright Memorial Hospital. The car was demolished.
