The Trenton Kids Club divided and wrestled in two tournaments on Saturday, the Rookie State Championships in Sedalia and the Randy Penn Memorial Tournament in Brookfield.
At Sedalia, Bo Meeker placed second and Kaleb Mayfield finished third. In six-and-under action in Sedalia, Trenton had one placewinner in Jackson Huber, who was second. Josiah Birkhead, McKenzy Dolan, Kyler Foster, Kendrik Robertson, Joshua Templeton, Kaden Foster, Logan Sahagun and Zachary Archer also participated in Sedalia.
At Brookfield, Spur Hughs picked up Trenton’s lone championship title. Coleman Griffin, Tucker Otto, Gavin McAtee, Brayden Hughs and Tyler Seimer all finished with second-place medals. Finishing third were Sam Gibson, Dianna Johnston and Tommy Johnston. Austin Weyer, Hunter McAtee, Tanner Phipps and Gavin Chambers all placed fourth and Natalie Johnston and Garrison Otto were sixth. Others participating at Brookfield for the Trenton Kids Club included Trusten Streett, Devin Allen and Luke Schilling.
