The top-seeded Princeton High School boys’ basketball team made short work of Union Star Tuesday night in the opening round of the Gilman City Tournament, winning 63-14.
Princeton jumped out to a 19-2 first-quarter lead and led 33-6 at halftime. The Tigers continued to roll in the second half, winning by 49 points in the end.
Stephan Elliott led the Tigers with 13 points while Brant Faulkner and Jordan Adams scored 10 points each.
The Tigers (13-3) will see semifinal action on Thursday, taking on East Harrison at 9 p.m. in Gilman City.
