The City of Trenton announced today that according to a new study by SmartAsset, a financial advice technology company, Trenton ranked as the most affordable place to live in Missouri.
Trenton Community Developer Ralph Boots said that the ranking was based on low property taxes, homeowner’s insurance fees and mortgage payments as compared to local median family income. Boots said the study was good news for recruiting and retaining business in Trenton. Although, recognizing there are other factors in retaining and recruiting of businesses, as the study indicates, there is good value in Trenton.
The other top 10 Missouri cities cited in the study are Barnhart, Mexico, Greenwood, Charleston, Republic, Hannibal, Kearney, Florissant and Bowling Green. The nationwide results can be found at SmartAsset.com.
