Evelyn “Joyce” Harris, a 76-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, 2015 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. The body will be cremated after the visitation.
Ms. Harris was born on Sept. 2, 1938 in North Kansas City, the daughter of Harry Lee and Byra Athene McKinzie Payne. She graduated from North Kansas City High School.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah McPherson of Trenton, Theresa Hogan of Gallatin and Valeria Glindo of the state of California; one brother, Lawrence Payne of Gladstone; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert “Bob” Payne, and Lonnie Payne.
