The couple shared many years on the farm, always eager to set out a meal for family and friends. Grandchildren knew they were loved and welcomed at all times. In later years, the couple enjoyed traveling together until his death in 1981. Helen’s good health allowed her to live alone until her 99th birthday anniversary. She will always be known for her charity, as well as gardening, sewing and quilting.
