The Spickard R-2 Board of Education offered a contract to its principal during a meeting held Monday evening.
According to information provided by Principal Burnie Schneiderheinze, the board held its evaluation of him and then offered a contract for the 2015-2016 school year.
Board members discussed the maintenance plan and decided that action needs to be taken on multiple roof leaks before the district moves on to the previous five-year large project maintenance plan. It was noted that a blood drive will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the school.
The board held an executive session to discuss personnel and student matters, with no action taken.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 16.
