The Princeton Chamber of Commerce met on Wednesday, Jan. 14 with seven members and one guest present.
Members voted to have a Boy Scout/Girl Scout theme for this year’s Calamity Jane Days celebration with Eagle Scouts being honored. A letter was received informing the chamber it needs to pay one-half of the cost up front for the kids pedal pull and that efforts are to be made to get the “Our Fallen Wall” for display during Calamity Jane Days. Power Construction is to take a look at the Cow Palace and give a bid for repairs. A vendor committee is being formed and interested persons are to contact Kelly Bertrand.
It was voted to have the July 4 entertainment at the Stacy Building after the alumni meeting this year and the Stacy Multipurpose Center board is to have a meal fundraiser. Glen Kirby is to be contacted about fireworks.
The chamber membership and soup and dessert cookoff will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 at the Hal England Center. It was announced that membership for the chamber is $75 or $25 to be a “Friend of the Chamber.”
The Mother’s Club Easter Egg Hunt was discussed as was a ribbon cutting for a new business. Added to the list of officers were Rhonda Watkins, tractor cruise facilitator, and Mary Exley, thank you coordinator.
The next chamber meeting will be at noon on Feb. 11 at the Mercer County Senior Center.
