Alpha T. “Tom” Edwards, an 85-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Wednesday night, Dec. 17, 2014 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. The body will be cremated following the service.
A family visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Edwards was born on July 21, 1929 in Kansas City, the son of Alpha Ray and Mary Gertrude Dominique Edwards. He graduated from Capernium School, southwest of Springfield. He was retired from the Ford Body Shop in Chillicothe.
He was married on Sept. 15, 1956 in Chillicothe to Jean Graybast, who preceded in him death on Jan. 10, 2009.
He was married on Nov. 10, 2010 in Trenton to Anna Sue Vaughn, who survives of the home.
He is also survived by two daughters, Sharin Harper of Chillicothe and Evelyn Williams of Galt; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; a son, Jerry Stephen Frizzell; two brothers, Bob and Roy Edwards; one granddaughter, Rhonda Stottlemyer; his step-father, Bruce Cramner; and two sons-in-law, Jim Williams and Wayne Harper.
