One Files For R-9 Board

The Trenton R-9 Board of Education has one candidate for the April 7 election with the filing of Martha Roberts, who is seeking re-election to a three-year term.
The terms of Mrs. Roberts and J.D. Pash expire with the election. Persons can file for the board at the Trenton R-9 District Office until Tuesday, Jan. 20 during regular office hours. The office will be closed during the Christmas holiday.
Two persons already serving as members of the Trenton City Council have filed for open positions on the council.
Second Ward Councilman Mark Robinson filed on Tuesday for the four-year term currently held by Dr. Nick McHargue, while Fourth Ward Councilman Jim Bush has filed for re-election. The two-year council terms of both Bush and Robinson are expiring in April along with those of first ward councilman Mark Moore and third ward councilman Travis Elder.
Persons can file for the city council at city hall during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) until Tuesday, Jan. 20.
