Funeral services for Roberta Kay Reid are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
An open visitation will begin 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at the mortuary.
Mrs. Reid, 74, died at 10:35 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Reid was born on Jan. 23, 1940 in Spickard, the daughter of Bert Persell and Clara Stottlemyer. She was married on April 22, 1967 in Trenton to Charley Reid, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2009.
She enjoyed playing pitch with her friends and bowling. She was a member of the 10th Street Baptist Church in Trenton.
Survivors include her step-sons, David Reid and his wife, Terri of Trenton and Dane Reid of Brimson; a step-daughter, Deborah Dowell and her husband, Ronny of Trenton; a step-daughter-in-law, Rose Reid of Princeton; sisters, Opal Swopes of Trenton and Lola Joe Veatch of Carrollton; half brothers, Clifford “Red” Conners and Jerry Dean Conners; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charley, and her sisters Becky and Olive.
Memorial contributions are suggested to 10th Street Baptist Church or the North 65 Senior Center. They can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary at PO Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
