Appointment Made To Galt Board of Aldermen

The Galt Board of Aldermen met on Tuesday, appointing a board replacement and setting filing dates for the April election.
City Clerk Mary Young said George Griff was appointed to fill the unexpired term in the south ward until the April election. That term, along with the two-year terms of mayor Roseanne Bonine, south ward alderman Philip Shepherd and north ward alderman Reggie Grindstaff will be on the April 7 ballot. Persons wanting to file for the board can do so beginning on Dec. 16 until Jan. 20 by calling city hall or contacting Mrs. Young.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13.
